Hatches Orchard is open weekends and holidays, Labor Day through Columbus Day, from 10am-5pm, It is the only pick your own orchard in the Conways. You are welcome to bring a picnic as well as your own containers in which to put the apples. The answering machine is updated frequently as to which varieties are available. If you need directions, we will call you back if you leave a phone number.

Burch Farm is open from the end of July until winter begins.  Call to make sure they are open before you head over there for the best apples in town.

 

Cardigan Mountain Orchard

They are open from September through November from 10am-6pm.  Among the delicious items they sell are apples, apple cider, homemade jams and pumpkins.

 

Carter Hill Apple Orchard

Carter Hill Apple Orchard is family owned by the Larocqueís.  The orchard itself has been active since the 1700ís.  Carter Hill carries over 10 different types of apples throughout the fall season including Empire, Macoun and Paula Red.  If you have an adventurous side, you are welcome to pick your own apples from Labor Day through mid-October.  Besides apples, Carter Hill also carries fresh pears, plums, peaches, cantaloupes, watermelon, raspberries and blueberries.

 

Demeritt Hill Farm

The Demeritt Hill Farm is open from September through December from 9am-6pm.  Demeritt Hill carries several varieties of apples including Cortland, Granny Smith, Kendall and Spencer.  In addition to apples, the farm is also well known for their bakery with fresh baked goodies such as pumpkin and peach pies, apple cider doughnuts, sugar cookies, oatmeal raisin brownies, cinnamon raisin bread, apple cinnamon muffins and peanut butter fudge.

 

Gould Hill Orchards

Gould Hill Orchards is set on 80 acres of orchards and tree farm that was run by the Leadbeater Family from the 1930ís until 2008.  The Bassett Family has been running the orchards ever since.  Gould Hill has over 80 varieties of apples plus they have a great selection of peaches, nectarines and plums that are all grown on the grounds.

 

Hackleboro Orchards

Hackleboro Orchards has been operating for 18 years.  After four years in operation, they also opened another location in the quiet little town of Boscawen.  Hackleboro is open daily 9am-6pm through Thanksgiving.  During apples season, enjoy a tractor ride through the orchard to pick your own apples.

Poverty Lane Orchard is your best source for uncommon apple types such as Pommme Grise, Wickson, Lady and Golden Russet.  The orchards are open from Labor Day weekdays from 8am-6pm and weekends 10am-5pm. 

 

Riverview Farm

Open September and October 10am-5pm.  The Riverview Farm is set on 10 acres of pure apple orchards.  The orchards are family owned and family run as well.  In addition to delicious, apples, Riverview farm also grown and sells pumpkins, raspberries and blueberries.  They also make their own jams and jellies.

 

Smith Orchard

They are open starting mid-September from 8:30 am to 5pm.  They have the best apples such as Macintosh, Cortland, Ginger Gold and Macoun.  Smith Orchard starting planting apples on the grounds in 1929.  They have over 2,000 trees that produce apples.

 

Surowiec Farm

53 Perely Hill Rd

Sanbornton, NH - Belknap County

They are open July-October from 9am-5pm.  The farm originally operated as a dairy farm in 1917 and the first trees were planted in 1971.  Some of the apples they produce are Paula Red, Cortlandís and Empires.  Besides apples, they also have a farm stand where you can purchase homemade jams and jellies, mustards, relishes, pickles, cheese, honey and maple products.  Other fruits they harvest include strawberries and blueberries as well as tomatoes, corn, cucumbers and melons.

 

Alysonís Apple Orchards

Walpole, NH - Cheshire County

Alysonís Apple Orchard offers 50 varieties of apples, peaches, plums, pears, grapes and berries.  Alysonís offers a large selection of apples including Sansa, Cortland, Liberty, Honey Crisp and Macoun.

 

Applecrest Farm Orchards

Hampton Falls, NH - Rockingham County

Applecrest is open year round from 8am until 6pm.  Applecrest offers over 40 varieties of apples, peaches, berries, sweet corn, pumpkins and summer veggies.  Some of the apple varieties they grow include Empire and Honey Crisp which are great for eating, Red Delicious and Golden Delicious which make for great salads and Cortland and Baldwin which are perfect for apple pies and applesauce.

 

Brookdale Fruit Farm

Hollis, NH - Hillsborough County

Brookdale Fruit Farm has it all under one sky.   They were the winner of New Hampshire Magazinesí Best Organic Farm Stand in 2009.  In addition to their delicious apples, they sell fresh fruits and vegetables, cooking items, freshly baked pies, jams, jellied, sauces and cheese.

 

McLeod Brothers Orchards

North River Road

Milford, NH - Hillsborough County

They are normally open from late-August through late-October weekdays from 1pm to 5:30pm and weekends from 10am to 5:30pm.  At McLeod Brothers you can either pick your own NH apples or they have ready picked apples for you to choose from such as Paula Red, Cortland, Gala and Roxbury Russet.  McLeod Brothers Orchards has been family opened and operated for over 60 years.
