When planning to go to Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Concord, NH, be sure to plan accordingly. Margaritas Restaurant only serves dinner (no lunch) and the restaurant is always busy, so it's a good idea to call ahead to put your name on the list. It's not a reservation, but it can shave a few minutes off your wait.

When you arrive at Margaritas Restaurant, the first thing you will notice is that there are not too many places you can wait for your name to be called. No matter where you are, you will be in the way of someone at some point. You can wait in the bar, but that is always busy also and there are not many places to sit. Besides that, there are about 5 small spots you can wait that are not in the way. You can wait near the front door if no one else took that spot. There is about enough room for four people there. Upstairs at Margaritas you will find a couple of couches and a coffee table, if that is taken also, then you can hang out nearby and wait for someone to leave. Often times you will see people on both sides of the stairway waiting, so you can imagine how much the wait stinks. Don't let this discourage you! The food is excellent! Once you get past the wait at Margaritas Restaurant, the rest is rewarding. Once led into one of the dining areas (one on each floor), you will be immediately shocked to see the jail cells with tables in them. No, they won't lock you in them. The building used to be the Concord NH Jail and the staff claims the restaurant is haunted (read more about this on our Haunted NH page). The first time we went to Margaritas Restaurant, I was worried because I am extremely Claustrophobic. But after going inside the cell, I found it wasn't bad at all. Actually, it was great because you get your own little room where you can talk without people around you listening, or talking over you. Now when we go to Margaritas Restaurant, I hope we get a jail cell!

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire has (in our opinion) some of the best Mexican food and service you will find anywhere. The prices are just a little on the high side (Cost us $120.00 for four people with bar drinks and tip), but worth it. You are treated very well and the food is always piping hot.... The plates are heated, so the food is extremely hot (I burn my tongue every time we go there because I can't wait for it to cool down). As soon as you sit down, they will bring you warm, freshly made nachos and hot salsa, so be sure to order drinks right away. If you don't, the hot salsa will make you wish you did.

The bottom line is that if you want to go out for Mexican food and have a good time and don't mind paying a few extra bucks for good food and service, then Margaritas Restaurant in Concord, NH is an excellent choice.
