for spring planting, June 5-6, 2010

Inns in the White Mountains to come up with a spring follow-up to
their annual Inn to Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour. This
feisty group of innkeepers helps guests usher in spring with a culinary
event celebrating the locavore movement combined with a learning getaway
for everyone from "Zoomers" (the new name for active Baby Boomers) to
families. Join 13 premier White Mountains inns for the 2

Annual Inn
to Inn Spring Herb Tour
from 11am-4pm on
both June 5 and June 6, 2010, as they present an in-depth look at a
popular culinary herb at each inn. You’ll take home trivia, historical
facts, recipes and ideas for growing the seedlings you receive from each
inn, just in time for the spring planting season. It’s a virtual herb
garden in a getaway combined with stays at award-winning inns.
Each inn will focus on one herb and offer delicious
samples of one or more special recipe using the herb from their own
kitchen garden. It might be a taste of tomato basil soup, carrot-chervil
dip, sage biscuits, tarragon egg salad, or rosemary chocolate cookies.
You’ll go home with a folder of new recipes, interesting herbal lore and
pots of herbs or seeds to grow your own. The

Conway) will be open on Saturday, June 5th and
Southern inns
(North Conway to
Chocorua) will be open on Sunday, June 6th, 2010, allowing plenty of
time to tour inns and enjoy delicious tastings at each stop.

The Spring Herb Tour is an annual event held the first
weekend in June available primarily for those booking a two-night
package at one of the thirteen participating inns. Lodging packages
range start at $178 per couple including two-night stays, herb-themed
breakfasts each morning and two tickets to the tour. Some lodging
packages will also include special five-course, herb-themed dinners.
Tickets are available in advance by reserving a lodging package directly
from participating inns. Those not wishing to reserve an overnight
package may purchase tickets between May 11 - 25 for $15 per person by

Tickets may be picked up at 1785 Inn on Saturday or Eastman Inn on
Sunday.
